Centrus Communities brushes up for Church Housing Trust

On October 12th and 13th, over 15 employees from Centrus dedicated a day to helping with the refurbishment of communal space in Riverside Group’s Hilltops House in Herne Hill, South London. Hilltops House provides accommodation and support to people who are homeless or at serious risk of homelessness over the age of 50, including those with challenging needs.

Centrus partnered with Church Housing Trust to undertake the refurbishment following a very successful event at another hostel last year. This time our team helped to clean, clear and paint the main hall way that runs throughout the ground floor, creating a bright, vibrant and clean entrance for the entire Hilltops House building, as well as providing all the materials required. Everyone who attended found it extremely enjoyable to get out of the office and in some cases to brush off some rusty DIY skills as well as seeing first-hand the great work that charities like Church Housing Trust and Riverside do day in and day out.

This is one of the many events that are organised under Centrus Communities flag, which is how Centrus and its employees contribute to communities in a variety of ways, whether with our time, donations or professional input, or in this case good old-fashioned elbow grease!

Centrus was delighted to be able to support the staff and the residents of an important community facility, particularly one which is owned and managed by Riverside Group with which Centrus has a strong and longstanding advisory relationship.

This was yet another successful Centrus Communities event, cementing a strong relationship with Riverside and Church Housing Trust.
